Church of God ladies schedule Alabama conference

FULTON, Miss.--A conference to take place in Birmingham, Ala., for Church of God women is scheduled for the second year in a row for July 23-25, announced Sondra Beam. The theme this year will be "A Christian Woman's Walk With Christ."

The conference series is sponsored by United Christian Ministries of Birmingham (Ray Wooten, director), Our Only Hope Ministry of Brevard, N.C. (Danny and Agnes Jacques), and the Sabbatarian Church of God of Tupelo, Miss. (Mrs. Beam's husband, Terry, is pastor).

"This will be our second year for this conference, which we are sure will prove to be another wonderfully inspirational conference with insightful ladies lined up to speak," Mrs. Beam said.

The activities will take place at the Hilton Hotel, Perimeter Park South, off Highway 280 in Birmingham.

To reserve a room telephone the hotel at (800) 567-6647 and mention the Christian Women's Conference. Rooms (which can accommodate up to four people) will be $85 per night.

The registration fee for the conference is $65 for women 18 and over and $50 for girls 10 to 17.

A reservation form is available for printing at www.unitedchristianministries.com or from Peggy Wooten at (888) 985-9066, Aggie Jacques, (828) 884-8600 or Mrs. Beam, (662) 862-7647.

"We are expecting between 75 to 100 ladies from all over the U.S.," she said, "and we hope that this will be a time of refreshing our spirits as well as relaxing our bodies and fellowship with our sisters in Christ."

Mrs. Beam also announced the conference is looking for participants who can perform special music. For information on the music schedule, contact her at the above number or skbeam@yahoo.com.
