Donald Smith, 300 Carol Ct., Loveland, OH 45140 recovering from stroke. His wife, Marion, is handicapped, in addition to having a type of leukemia.

John Alberado, suffering with asbestos poisoning.

Glenn Gappert, asthma and severe back pain.

Jim Ross, 2201 McDonald Rd., Tyler, TX 75701, osteo-sarcoma cancer.

Bob Kurka, Cherry Tree, PA, colon cancer.

Nancy Getsman, broken arm.

Keith, Joyce and Darla Stenvel, Missouri, recovering from automobile accident.

Katie Wernecke, Agua Dulce, TX, daughter of Edward and Michele, cancer, legal fight over treatment.

Maria Ostrom, 1859 Dogwood Ave., Reedsport, OR 97467, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Ken Graham, 844 Belcher Rd., Quitman, GA 31643 has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. As a result, he must retire from working.

Bill Weber is suffering from multilple health problems, including recovery from heart bypass surgery.

Michael and Aimee McNally, 5068 Kingston Way, San Jose, CA 95130, thanks everyone for the overwhelming number of cards and prayers received for their 16-month-old son, David. David was diagnosed with a rare disorder called Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome.Tests are pending and a bone marrow transplant possible at some point.

Earl Wayne Roberts, Yucaipa, CA, hospitalized with breathing disorder.

Kenny Politte, Missouri, severe leg pain.

Richard Garcia, 503 Hope Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376, hospitalized, not responding to dialysis, infection.

Tracy Cruze, 529 E. 33rd St., Hibbing, MN 55746 sinus surgery recuperation.

Ronald Chumbley, 3545 CR 3314, Omaha, TX 75571, colon and liver cancer.

Donna Wheelbarger, suffering from rare condition of gallstones in her liver.

Ron Washington was hospitalized with a blood clot in each lung pain in his leg.

Larry Hart, 63, stroke, carotid artery blocked.

Carmel Mullen, PO Box 91297, Portland, OR 97291 (mother of Kieran Mullen), recently diagnosed with colon and liver cancer.

 
Obituaries
Mildred Carnes Prettyman

Mildred Carnes Prettyman, 81, formerly of Winchester, Ky., widow of Andrew Milton Prettyman, died Oct. 25 at the home of her son in Hopkinsville, Ky. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of God, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of the Alpha Z Delta Sorority, and a graduate of the former Bethel Women’s College. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Alethia Prettyman, Hopkinsville and Jonathan and Margie Prettyman, Lexington; a daughter and son-in-law, Anetta and Garlan Nichols, Wyoming, Mich.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Mabel Dunn, Port Arthur, Texas, two nieces and a nephew.

Dorothy Kathryn Williams

Dorothy Kathryn Williams was born May 15, 1918, in Milano, Texas, to Marvin Lewis and Annie Mae Blankenship. Mrs. Williams died on Sept. 23 in Tyler, Texas. She was the oldest of 11 children. She attended various schools in Milam County, Texas. In 1936 she married Joseph Belton Williams. They had four children: Mary Ann Aust, Brenda Christensen, Thomas Kirk Williams and Virgil Gene Williams. She was baptized at Belknap Springs, Ore., in 1945 by Herbert W. Armstrong.

In 1953 she and her family moved to the Big Sandy area, where her children attended Imperial Schools. She attended her first Feast in 1949 and was a faithful member of the Church of God since that time. Mrs. Williams’ funeral was held Sept. 27 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas, conducted by her sonin- law Jerold Aust. Mrs. Williams was one of the oldest living member in the greater Church of God. She will be missed by many.


Barbara Mullins

Barbara Mullins, 72, of Big Sandy, Texas, passed away Oct. 6 at her residence. She was born June 15, 1933, in Dorton, Ky., to Millard and Stella Smallwood. She married Victor Mullins on May 21, 1949, in Pikevile, Ky. She was a homemaker and member of Church of God PKG.

Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Mullins; a grandson, Justin Mullins; and a great-grandson, Brett Mullins. She is survived by her husband, Victor Mullins of Big Sandy; two sons, Ronald Mullins of Hawkins, and Roger Mullins of Pritchett; one daughter, Glenda Borchelt of Waverly, Ohio; three brothers, Ben Smallwood of Portsmith, Ohio, Clyde Smallwood of Lucasville, Ohio, and Carl Smallwood, of Lucasville Ohio; three sisters, Doris Wickline of Circleville, Ohio, Mildred Raisanen of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Judy Webb of Delaware, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mrs. Mullins’ grandsons, Scott Mullins, Ryan Mullins, David Mullins, Jason Mullins and R.B. Mullins. Ron Weinland officiated the service.
