Prayer requested for Richard Rapp, Lorraine Knowles' son, who has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. He has a massive tumor in his chest, between the lungs and just above the heart. He's conferencing with doctors about treatment.

Obituaries

John Sharp, 82, of Blytheville, Ark., died March 1 of cancer. The funeral was held March 3 in Blytheville. Please remember the family in your prayers.

Phoenix firefighter Bret Tarver, 41, of Queen Creek, Ariz., second son of Barbara and Carl Tarver (former WCG elder), was killed while fighting a fire on Wednesday, March 14. He is survived by his wife, Robin, three daughters, 10, 8 and 6 years, and five brothers, two of whom are also firefighters. Bret, a highly skilled and dedicated eight-year veteran fireman-paramedic, was trapped by falling rubble and ran out of air. More than 3,000 attended his funeral service on Monday March 19, many of whom were firemen from around the United States and Canada. Many others lined the funeral procession route.
