Y'all come to Family Fellowship Weekend

BIG SANDY, Texas--The Church of God Big Sandy invites everyone to its Family Fellowship Weekend Dec. 23-24.

"Since people have off from work and school during the winter break, we like to provide brethren and friends with this opportunity for family fellowship," said Dave Havir, pastor.

Here is a tentative schedule for Saturday, Dec. 23:

A special-music service will begin at 12:30 p.m. The service is scheduled to last for one hour. Interested participants may call (800) 946-5545 (daytime only).
A church service will begin at 2. The service is scheduled to have two speakers and selections of special music.
A potluck meal is set for 4.
A family variety show will take place at 6:30.

Here is the tentative schedule for Sunday, Dec. 24:

Breakfast is to be served in the building at 8 a.m.
Seminars about relationships will begin at 10, including prepared presentations and interactive sessions.
A chili dinner is set for 4 p.m.
A family dance will happen at 6:30.

The activities will take place in the 18,000-square-foot church building, on the west side of town, which was completed in 1998.

"When the congregation built our church home, we wanted to host quality activities to encourage worship, fellowship and educational opportunities," said Mr. Havir.
