CGOM places ad in USA Today

TULSA, Okla.--The Churches of God Outreach Ministries placed an ad in a national newspaper, USA Today, to run three days, Nov. 26-28.

The ad offered a booklet on prophecy, The Key to the Book of Revelation. The ad space would ordinarily cost the CGOM $5,180, said Lawrence Gregory, pastor of the Tulsa Church of God. But, after the discount USA Today gives churches who advertise, the cost was only $3,965.

USA Today, said Mr. Gregory, circulates 2.6 million issues daily, distributed by home delivery, motels and hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, newsstands and airports, including 165,000 copies shipped out of the country.

Mr. Gregory said the USA Today account representative working with the CGOM told him Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 27-28 this year) was expected to be the period with heaviest sales and readership of the entire year.

Mr. Gregory said the CGOM, of which the Tulsa Church of God is an affiliate, decided to offer this booklet because it presents clear information about an interesting but misunderstood part of the Bible.

Write the CGOM at P.O. Box 54621, Tulsa, Okla. 74155, U.S.A.
