"It will serve as a bulletin board on which to post notices of special events hosted by Sabbatarians as well as a directory of Sabbatarian groups and fellowships in the Mid-South area."

CGI sponsors outreach weekend

TYLER, Texas--This November in Louisville, Ky., the Church of God International sponsored the first CGI/Armor of God Outreach Weekend, with two days of meetings, said CGI president Charles Groce.

Invitations were mailed to viewers of the Armor of God TV program and subscribers to church literature living in Kentucky and surrounding states. The event was a full afternoon of presentations covering the church's identity, teachings and special programs. Sunday sessions covered objections to Bible truth and ended with suggestions for personal evangelism.

A tape of sermons given on the two days is available free from P.O. Box 2525, Tyler, Texas 75710, U.S.A., or call (903) 825-2525.

CGI finds 75 percent of funds allocated to evangelism

TYLER, Texas--"It wasn't until just recently, in a report compiled by our business office, that we realized that 75 percent of our funds are allocated toward evangelism," said Church of God International president Charles Groce in the CGI's December letter to members and coworkers.

He said that over the previous nine weeks, ending with the Nov. 11 program, the percentage of first-time callers responding to the Armor of God TV program has been 42, 44, 51, 46, 50, 42, 46, 47 and 44.

"You have to wonder what would happen if we could just have more television exposure," said Mr. Groce. "The program is working! God is blessing the message. All the ingredients are in place, and the direction we must pursue is clear. We have to find a way to purchase more TV time."
