Feast of Tabernacles planned for Oregon

TILLER, Ore.--Imagine keeping the Feast of Tabernacles among tall, fragrant fir, pine and cedar trees, says Sharon Bonney, in announcing the Feast site sponsored by Omega Praise Fellowship of Southern Oregon.

"Imagine cool nights and a warm hall in which to fellowship with like-minded brethren.

"Imagine bright autumn days walking with family and friends on graveled paths between expanses of grass-covered knolls.

"Imagine the joy and peace of the Feast of Tabernacles, and imagine keeping it with us at Fir Point Bible Conference Camp."

The facility is five miles off Interstate 5 (Exit 80) just outside the community of Glendale and features large and small cabins and six recreational-vehicle sites.

As plans stand now, said Mrs. Bonney, the dining hall will be used for services and meals.

Recreational opportunities will include a large sports pavilion suitable for basketball and volleyball; hiking trails; horseshoe pits; and more.

Meals, including a special one on Eriv Shabbat (Oct. 1), will be provided by the camp directors, John and Sharon Wilcox.

The cost for everything is $55 per day per couple ($27.50 for a single person), which will cover meals and housing.

Children of those attending who are 18 and under will be able to stay free.

"Our vision of the Feast of Tabernacles is people meeting together as though they were already part of the family of God," said Mrs. Bonney, "in a Feast where we worship and study, share meals and fellowship together in a peaceful and joyous atmosphere.

"It is a Feast where songs of praise and dances of worship are woven into our services.

It's a Feast where we are encouraged to participate by bringing our talents to share with the brethren our Heavenly Father has inspired to join with us."

Mrs. Bonney calls Omega Praise Fellowship a "Christian volunteer fellowship" whose members "believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, Shepherd and High Priest of our calling and that our calling includes our being a part of the royal priesthood. We yearn to know better our Savior and His ways.

"To that end we seek to know more about the Hebrew roots of our faith."
