Global holds regional ministerial conferences
SAN DIEGO, Calif.-The Global Church of God has been holding a series of regional ministerial conferences that replace the church's annual headquarters conference.
"When in late 1996 Global cut its 1997 budget to avoid a shortfall, the traditional annual headquarters conference for the entire ministry, including international ministers, was canceled for 1997," said Larry Salyer, editorial director for Global.
"However, three conferences in the U.S. were planned. The Western conference was held at headquarters in San Diego in February. In March, the Southern and Southeastern regions combined for a conference in Louisville, Miss."
