Sidney Rumpel, 68, of Big Sandy, Tex. died February 2003. He was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Wakeeney, Kan. He worked in the maintenance department of Hillcrest Manor, and was a member of Church of God an International Community.

Mr. Rumpel is survived by his wife, Dora Shields Rumpel, Big Sandy, sons William Arthur Rumpel and Davie Wayne Rumpel, both of Dallas, and Sidney Brian Rumpel, Longview, Texas; daughters Leah Irene Langford, Carthage, Texas, and Jewel Rosene Witt, Flint, Texas; brothers, Max Rumpel, Hayes, Kan., Alan Rumpel, Goodland, Kan., and Phillip Rumpel, Palmer, Alaska; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Croley Funeral Home, in Gladewater, Texas, Don Hornsby officiating.
