Ozzie Engelbart

ROGERS, Ark.-- Ozzie Engelbart, a longtime Church of God member and pastor of United Church of God congregations in Arkansas, died of an apparent heart attack here March 31, 2000.

According to local news reports and Stan Cain of the Rogers police department, Mr. Engelbart, 55, of Springdale, Ark., died at St. Mary's Hospital after the accident, which occurred about 9:30 p.m.

Cpl. Cain said Mr. Engelbart's apparent heart attack caused his vehicle to be involved in a three-car accident. Mr. Engelbart's wife, Tina, was injured, suffering a broken ankle.

Occupants of the other two cars in the accident were apparently not seriously injured.

Richard Pinelli of Cincinnati, Ohio, director of ministerial services of the UCG-AIA, said Mr. Engelbart had been recovering from congestive heart failure and was making "good progress."

Mr. Engelbart is survived by his wife and three children.
