Isabel was born Aug. 23, 1911, to Leon E. Lewis and Edith Belle Hitchins Lewis in Morgan, Utah. She married Carlton William Shles, also of Morgan, March 8, 1934. Carlton preceded Isabel in death Aug. 12, 1990. Isabel and Carlton were baptized in 1953 while living in Phoenix, Ariz., by a visiting baptizing team of ministers from the then Radio Church of God.

Isabel and Carlton were dedicated members of the Church of God from that time. Graveside services were conducted Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. by Dr. Roderick Meredith in the La Vista Memorial Park, National City, Calif. Isabel now rests beside her devoted husband, Carlton, awaiting the Resurrection at the return of Jesus Christ.
