From Joe Kirkpatrick, Portales, N.M. (jgk@afarmmortgage.com):Would appreciate prayers on behalf of Fern Rankin. Fern recently underwent cancer surgery. She and her husband, Rudolph, are longstanding members from Miami, Texas, and attend with us in the Christian Church of God in Amarillo.

Bill Amburgey, 423 CR 3080, Ben Franklin, TX 75415, hospitalized with chest pains.

Patti Miller, congestive heart failure.

Oliver Murrell, Springfield, MO, WWII veteran, eye degeneration and is the primary caregiver for his wife who is in very bad health. Prayers for both of them would be appreciated.

Rosemary Pittman, Indianapolis, IN (sister of Charles Sisk), seriously ill with cancer and other health problems.

Mary Satterfield, Ft. Smith, AR, area, recovering from triple bypass surgery.

Charles, Shirley, and son John request prayers for pulmonary hypertension and other health problems concerning Charles and John. Shirley has very painful joint problems.

Mike Stevens, 801 E. Calhoun, Rice, TX 75155, two ruptured discs in back.

David Thomas, possible leukemia.

Jonathan Boring, 11, Bisbee, AZ, experiencing high fever every six weeks.

Pauline Caughfield, 87 (mother of Sue Caughfield), joint problems in the shoulder area. Partial joint replacement possible if alternative methods are not successful.

Jewel Dunn, 510 Stark Dr., Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455, gallstone recovery.

Joe Edwards, father of Ann Van Westen, surgery pending for rectal cancer.

Shelby Faith, P.O. Box 183, High Ridge, MO 63049, recovering from laser eye surgery, but needs continued prayer for asthma, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Rocky Harper, Sr., RR 1 Box 255, Cookville, TX 75558, hepatitis C, chronic back pain and depression.

Margaret Jaramillo, young mother diagnosed with Macular Degeneration and quickly failing eyesight and diabetes.

Bonita Kilgore, Fort Smith, AR, renal failure, cancer, chemotherapy.

Iris Locke, Hearthstone of Sun City, Room B216B, 13818 N. Thunderbird Rd., Sun City, AZ 85351, hospitalized since March 18th, recovering from bicycle accident and subsequent coma. She continues to improve, sitting up each day and also walking.

James and Sarah McBride, 23 Walcott St., Billighay, Lincs, England LN4 4EG, James heart valve surgery is still pending. Sarah's surgery for arthritic hands is scheduled for Aug. 4.

Keena Pike (Boring) 38, recovering from heart surgery, but has other serious health complications.

Carolyn Scharpen, 27182 Soledad, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, Hodgkin's Disease, chemotherapy.

Laura Schlenker, Alfred, ND (sister of Bonita Kilgore), cancer.

Sam and Faye Stamper request prayer. Faye suffers from thyroid problems and high blood pressure. Sam, rectal bleeding and much pain.

Cindy Hogan, 32, recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer. Her husband, Gary, requests prayers on her behalf.

Lamar Smith, 4122 Renfeld Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78410, recovering from injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident on May 31 while on their way to Sabbath services. His wife, Jane died at the scene. Mr. Lamar has a fracture in one neck bone, abrasions from the shoulder belt and perhaps other injuries.

Sherilyn Emberton requests prayers for her father who is undergoing his third surgery for a recurring brain tumor.

Obituaries

Robert Beaver of Farmersville, Texas, died June 18, 2003.

Doug Polzin, 47 years of age, died June 17 of pancreatic cancer. His family receives mail at 4225 E. Daily, Phoenix, Ariz. 85053.

Cailyn Reese Morrow, 1 month old, died Saturday June 21, 2003, due to complications of a premature birth. Please pray for the family. Cards and letters may be sent in care of Herb Morrow (great-grandfather of Cailyn), 139 Nevada 68, Prescott, AR 71857.

Jane Smith died May 31, 2003, in a single vehicle accident. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lamar Smith. Cards may be sent to Mr. Lamar Smith, 4122 Renfeld Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78410.

James Edward Sharver, 69 of Boise, Idaho, died June 9 at a Boise hospital. James was born June 6, 1934, in Sallisaw, Okla., the oldest of three children. After serving his country in the Air Force, he worked in commercial construction most of his career. He was baptized into God's church in 1964. Jim and his wife, Marjorie, enjoyed travel. They made trips to Europe, Alaska and loved traveling south for the winter in their RV. Jim is survived by his wife of 10 years; his sister Mary Tucker of Fort Worth, Texas; three children and their spouses: Sherri and Paul Wimberly of Sumrall, Miss.; Steven and Monica Sharver of Garland, Texas; Sharla and Peter Paige of Whitsett, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren, Shanda, Shaina, Sasha, Mark, Amanda, Melissa, Eric, Alyssa, Adam, Josh and Jake. Jim is also survived by three stepchildren and their spouses: Pamela and David Blue of Boise and their children Aaron and Ryan; Michael and Kelley Farley of Boise and their children Ashley, Jessica and Kelsey; and Jerry and Mariann Farley of Troutdale, Ore. The world has lost a kind and wonderful man. Jim used to say he woke up happy every day. He shared that happy spirit with everyone he met. He enjoyed his life and had great faith. He will be missed dearly.
