Everyone's invited to Church of God San Antonio's Feast for 2002

SAN ANTONIO, Texas--The Church of God San Antonio, affiliated with the Churches of God Outreach Ministries, announces it will again sponsor a Feast of Tabernacles observance in the Alamo City.

"All brethren regardless of organizational affiliation are welcome to attend," said Julian Cruz, Church of God San Antonio pastor. "We are ready to serve as your host to make the Feast in San Antonio a very enjoyable, memorable and family-oriented celebration where our children will play an important role in worship services."

On the agenda are sermons, music to honor God and fellowship for the brethren, including families.

The theme will be "Rejoicing Before the Lord," Mr. Cruz said.

Worship and Bible classes for youths are planned.

San Antonio, said Mr. Cruz, is the No. 1 tourist destination in Texas. Attractions include the Alamo, the River Walk, Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, HemisFair Park, the Tower of the Americas, the San Antonio Zoo and the Japanese Tea Gardens.

San Antonio restaurants feature the foods of many lands, including America, France and, of course, Mexico.

A "spectacular" restaurant sits 550 feet above ground level atop the Tower of the Americas, said Mr. Cruz.

The conference room in the Park Inn hotel for the Feast observance, from Sept. 20 to 27, will accommodate 275 people.

Hotel rooms, camping spaces

If Feastgoers stay in the Park Inn, they will have access to a complimentary continental breakfast each day.

Camping facilities will be available at a recreational-vehicle park a mile from Park Inn: Greentree Village North, phone (210) 655-3331.

"It's important to make reservations early to be ahead of the snow birds," Mr. Cruz advised would-be Feast campers.

The camp's Web site: www.greentreevillage.com.

Park Inn is at 10811 Interstate 35 N. Phone the hotel at (210) 590-4646 or (800) 276-0679. Visit Park Inn on the Web at www.parkhtls.com.

To make hotel reservations, call the inn and tell the reservations desk you plan to attend the Feast of Tabernacles (refer to the CGOM or the Church of God San Antonio) and mention group identification No. 007.

The room rates (subsidized by the San Antonio congregation) are $46.50 plus tax for one through four persons.

Reservation deadline

Mr. Cruz asks that the brethren make reservations before Aug. 31 "to avoid forfeiture of any deposits paid or payment of penalties."

Please plan early

"Please help us by making your reservation as early as possible," he said.

"Early reservations will also help us determine if we need to ask for more than 30 rooms." For more information, contact Mr. Cruz at 219 Whitefield Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78223, U.S.A.; (210) 333-7229; or jcruz@ix.netcom.com.
