Buel Campbell, 82, stepfather of Mac Overton, recovering from an appendectomy, three heart attacks, pneumonia and gallstone removal. Mr. Campbell has improved and has moved from a hospital to a nursing home.

Obituaries

Rick Dykes, 53, of San Antonio, Texas, died March 18, 2008, from the results of a stroke. Mr. Dykes attended Imperial Schools in Pasadena, Calif., and graduated from Imperial High School in Big Sandy, Texas, in 1972. Predeceased by his father, Jack Dykes, Rick is survived by his mother and stepfather, Beulah and John Denton of Wylie, Texas; stepmother, Bernice Rinell of Paulsbo, Wash.; sisters, Sherry, Teresa and Debra; and brother, Mark; and their families. Obituaries

David Anderson Siler died Feb. 20, 2008 in Marshall, Texas. He was born March 31, 1931, in Silerton, Tenn., to Gola Wilson Siler and Jerry Siler. Mr. Siler was a Baptist. Predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Winnifred "Winnie" Martin Gibson, he is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Avey and Ron of Big Sandy, Sharon Burgin and Ken of Big Sandy, Darlene Cevik and Gucci of Marshall, Gola Spence and Stan of Marshall, Donna Patterson and Jerry of Hallsville, Texas, Dedra Kashin and Dan of Spotsylvania, Va.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr. Siler were held at Gladewater Memorial Park in Gladewater, Texas, and officiated by family members and friends.

 


Obituaries

Martin H. Gerfen of Kansas City, Kan., died May 16, 2007. He was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis, with whom he was baptized in 1971, and by daughters Susan Gerfen and Linda (Edward) Ruder and three grandchildren.


Obituaries

Rosalie Turk, 84, longtime member of the Church of God, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, of metastasized colon cancer to the stomach and lungs. She and her husband, Don, served as elder and wife in the WCG and later in Global and Living Church of God until his death, in 2002. Rosalie is survived by four children: Tom Turk, Donna Bechthold (Glenn), John Turk (Paula) and Don Turk; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
