ARVADA, Colo.--The United Church of God has published its 23rd booklet, Transforming Your Life: The Process of Conversion.

The 64-page work, written by several UCG elders and edited by longtime pastor and writer Roger Foster of Glendale, Ariz., is directed primarily at people considering baptism.

It discusses repentance, sin, baptism, how God's Spirit works and how the Bible defines and describes conversion.

The booklet was developed in conjunction with the eighth and ninth lessons of the church's 12-lesson Bible-study course, which cover "Christian conversion" and "the transforming power of God's Spirit."

Those two lessons treat the same general subject matter in a question-and-answer format; the booklet explores the biblical teachings in greater detail.

Students of the course are encouraged to write for the booklet.

Transforming Your Life is the fifth booklet produced by United this year. The church has printed and reprinted 476,000 English-language booklets so far in 2000 in addition to its Bible-course lessons and foreign-language publications.

The Good News, United's flagship publication, increased its print run to 310,000 with the November-December issue, an increase of 65,000 over a year ago.

All United Church of God publications are available free on the Internet at www.gnmagazine.org or by writing P.O. Box 541027, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45254, U.S.A.
