Anniversaries

50th Wedding Anniversary--Ken and Dorthy Farmer of Niles, Michigan, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2000. The couple began attending the Radio Church of God in 1965 in South Bend, IN. They have three children, Daniel Farmer of Attica, MI; Janet (Farmer) Frisz and son-in-law Don Frisz of Scottsburg, IN; and Mark Farmer and daughter-in-law Shelby (High) Farmer of Niles. They also have four grandchildren, Jessica and Christopher Frisz and Morgan and Matthew Farmer. (Ken's parents are still living and are nearing 71 years of marriage.)

Obituaries

Elfonda Sudweeks Bronnum of Plano, Texas died on June 11, 2000. She was born Jan. 11, 1939, in Tropic, Utah, to Ralph and Ada Sudweeks. On January 16, 1959, she was married to Norm Bronnum and lived in California for many years. In the 1980's she and her family moved to Big Sandy, Texas, where she served in the local congregation for several years before moving to Plano, Texas. Mrs. Bronnum is survived by her husband, Norm Bronnum, son Steven, daughters Debra, Pam, and Sherry; two sons-in-law, Mike and John; grandchildren Erik, Amber, Megan, Jason, Jeffrey, Rachel and Joseph; and three brothers, Cloyd, Lyndon, and Weldon. Graveside services were attended by family and a few close friends and officiated by Mr. Dave Havir in Nevada, Texas.

Alfons Nordmann died peacefully in his sleep Wednesday June 14, 2000 in Guetersloh, Germany. Mr. Nordmann had been suffering with cancer. Cards of condolence may be sent to his widow, Mrs. Gerda Nordmann, Bahnhofstr. 21, D-33397 Rietberg, Germany.

Grace Waller, of New Boston, Texas died Sunday June 18, 2000 of cancer. Please pray for the family.

John S. Johnson of Plano, Texas, died Monday night, June 19, in a motorcycle accident. John was an Ambassador College graduate and taught history and geography until the spring of 1995 at Ambassador University.
