Singles plan for Memorial Day activity

ST. LOUIS, Mo.--The United Church of God St. Louis plans "Beyond 2000: The World Tomorrow," an assembling of unmarried people set for Memorial Day weekend, May 26-29, in St. Louis.

Organizer Jason Watkins calls it "the chance to experience the most exhilarating event in the galaxy."

The site will be Premier Adam's Mark Hotel in St. Louis and will include two Christian-living seminars on the Sabbath, followed by an afternoon church service.

Then will ride down the river on a Mississippi riverboat, then shop till they drop at specialty stores at Union Station. Then they will dine or dance at local nightspots.

Sunday's events include a tram ride to the top of the famous St. Louis arch for a spectacular view of the city. Then stroll through the Museum of Westward Expansion and Laclede's Landing.

A formal singles' dinner dance is planned for Sunday evening.

Then experience the technological marvels of U.S.S. 2000 and a "voyage through space," which is the theme of the dance.

The price for four people to a room is $185 per person. Contact Jason Watkins or his sister, Heather Watkins, at beyond2000twt@aol.com for details. Or call (314) 849-4016 for more information, including airfare specials.
