A lawsuit by the Worldwide Church of God seeking to bar the Philadelphia Church of God from reprinting and distributing Mystery of the Ages has been dropped in California and refiled in federal court in Oklahoma.

Dennis Leap, senior editor of the PCG's Philadelphia Trumpet magazine, said the WCG dropped the case in the Ninth Circuit federal court in Los Angeles Feb. 28 and refiled it in the Tenth Circuit Court in Oklahoma City March 3.

The action came after a judge in California denied a request for a temporary restraining order that would have prohibited the PCG from circulating the book.

The WCG essentially claims the dispute is a copyright issue; the PCG says it's all about religious freedom.
