Gemuetlichkeit abounds for singles

MILWAUKEE, Wis.--Singles from the Midwest and as far away as Texas and North Dakota converged here for four days of activities and fellowship for the second annual Gemuetlichkeit II singles' weekend Dec. 24-28.

"Participants commented on the warmth, friendship, and opportunity to get to know others," said Cathy Folker. "The theme for the weekend and the Bible studies was male-female friendship and understanding."

Bible-study topics included male-female differences; femininity and masculinity; biblical roles for men and women; innermost secrets that men and women wish each other knew; and a question-and-answer session.

"Plans are underway for next year's Gemuetlichkeit II singles' weekend," she said. "Your input and suggestions would be appreciated."

Send suggestions for themes and activities you'd like to see (and participate in) to Cathy Folker, 573 S. Concord Rd., Oconomowoc, Wis 53066, or E-mail her at cfolker@globaldialog.com.

"All singles are welcome. This year's participants ranged in age from 10 months to over 60."
