44 A.D. God sends the angel of the Lord to kill Herod Agrippa. Herod dies and is eaten by worms (See Acts 12) |

65 A.D. Work on Jerusalem's second temple (also known as Herod's temple) is completed. |

70 A.D. Roman legions, under the command of military commander Titus (later Emperor Titus), set fire to Jerusalem's temple. The final destruction of the temple starts on the 9th of Ab (Hebrew month) and is completed the next day. These dates equate to Saturday, August 4th and Sunday, August 5th, 70 A.D. |
