Ingredients:
1/2 C. butter, softened
2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 unbeaten eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 C. honey 2 1/4 C. whole wheat flour Directions:
Blend butter, eggs, honey, vanilla and salt with wooden spoon; leaving butter in small pieces. Add flour in several portions. This
should make very soft dough. Let rest 5 minutes. Pat the dough out as flat as you can on a buttered cookie sheet. Cover with wax paper and finish smoothing out evenly to the edges of the
pan with rolling pin. Remove paper, score into cracker-size squares. Prick each cracker with fork 10 to 12 times. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 350° oven. (For the rest of the year 1 1/4
teaspoon baking powder may be added to flour.)
