George Roy McCammon, age 76, of Portage, IN, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. He was born on May 17, 1941 in Carlilse, IN to Glen & Wanda (Ashcraft) McCammon.
George is survived by his brother, Glen (Judy) McCammon; nieces & nephews, Kimmy Sandberg, Scot McCammon, Stacy Elkins, Tammy Vining, Tanya Martin, Jeffrey McCammon, Dawn Durant, Shelly Jones, & Cory McCammon; unofficial adopted daughter, Tina Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna McCammon; daughter, Cindy McCammon; brothers, Thomas McCammon & Joseph McCammon; sisters, Sherry Sanders & Vivian Gard.
George retired from US Steel as a electrician and was a Army Veteran. He loved to fish and hunt. George was an avid scholar of the Bible. He was a very kind and generous person and loved to play Euchre with his family.
Donna McCammon, wife of George, was born August 6, 1939. She passed away July 15, 2017.
